A focused 12-week money reset in Google Sheets
I will start when the month is perfect.
Make a clear plan for three focus months, then use a bonus month to keep what works. Track your income, spending and one goal without waiting for the perfect time to start.
What you get for £9
Start Here, Dashboard, Income, Expenses and Lock-In Goals take you from setup to review.
Choose the months that fit your life and use the fourth month to keep, repeat or test what works.
Set one money goal and check whether your monthly actions are moving you towards it.
Make a copy in your Google account, keep it for personal or household use and work through it in your own time.
Best for one person or a household planning a focused money reset. It can also hold a simple side-hustle cash view; it is not bookkeeping, tax or investment advice.
Why three months, then a bonus?
The focused period is inspired by the 12 Week Year. Instead of treating a whole year as one distant deadline, you choose three months from January to December and give them a clear job. That is enough time to see patterns, make different decisions and build momentum you can actually measure.
The fourth month is your bonus. Use it to keep going, repeat what worked or test what needs changing. If the numbers have moved, you can see why. If they have not, you now have evidence of what to work on next.
The real planner
These are real pages from the planner. The five tabs are designed to take you from setup to review, and your copy is editable so you can choose the months and numbers that fit your life.

Inside the planner
Choose any three focus months from January to December, then choose your bonus month.
See the headline numbers and progress from one clear place.
Track money coming in from work, a household or a side hustle.
See where your money is going, including the treat you planned on purpose.
Name what you are working towards and check whether your actions match it.
Your months, your money
You choose any three focus months from January to December. The planner is not tied to a launch date, a season or somebody else's timeline. You choose your bonus month too, and can change any of them later if life changes.
Use it for your own finances or shared household planning. You can also use it for a simple side-hustle cash view, but it is not designed to replace bookkeeping or tax software.
One intentional treat each month
Locking in should not make life joyless. Decide what an affordable treat looks like for you, give it a limit and include it in your plan. Then you can enjoy it without guilt or pretending the spend did not happen.
For me, that might mean visiting B&Q, Homesense or TK Maxx once a month and treating myself if I find something I love for £5.
Pick a goal because it sounds sensible.
If you already know what matters and what the money is for, brilliant. If you do not, Meet Yourself Off Script can help you work that out before you turn it into a target.
